Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Spill It. By accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must provide accurate account details and keep your account information up to date.
- You are responsible for activities carried out through your account/session credentials.
- The service is not intended for children under 13. Users under 18 should use the platform with parental or guardian guidance.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Spill It for unlawful, abusive, or harmful activity, including harassment, threats, hate speech, impersonation, fraud, extortion, distribution of illegal content, or attempts to compromise platform security.
You must not abuse automation, bypass anti-bot checks, scrape private data, or interfere with service availability.
3. Moderation and Enforcement
- We may remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms or applicable law.
- Safety filters, block controls, and abuse detection may be applied to protect users and platform integrity.
- Where required, we may preserve or disclose records in response to lawful requests by competent authorities.
4. Content and License
You retain rights in content you create, subject to the rights needed for us to operate the service. You grant Spill It a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to host, process, display, and transmit your content solely for service delivery, safety, moderation, and legal compliance.
You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit your content and that your content does not violate laws or third-party rights.
5. Payments, Tips, and Payouts
Subscriptions and one-time purchases
Paid features (Pro subscription, Verified Badge, Prompt Packs, Boosts) are processed through Stripe (USD) or Paystack (NGN). All prices are shown inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Tip Jar
The Tip Jar lets supporters send one-time payments directly to creators. A platform fee (shown before checkout) is deducted from each tip; the net amount is credited to the creator's wallet. Tips are final on completion — Spill It does not offer refunds for tips unless a charge is successfully reversed by the card network or processor. In the event of a verified reversal or chargeback, the corresponding credit will be removed from the creator's wallet.
You must not use the Tip Jar to launder money, circumvent payment controls, or send fraudulent transactions. Self-tipping and circular tipping (including proxy arrangements) are prohibited. Abuse of the tip system (including velocity manipulation) may result in account suspension and forfeiture of wallet balances.
Repeated payment disputes or chargebacks may lead to escalating enforcement. Accounts linked to repeated chargebacks (including three or more chargebacks) may be permanently banned from the platform. Affected users may submit a review request for manual reassessment.
Creator wallet and payouts
Earned tip credits accumulate in your wallet. Payouts are subject to eligibility requirements (minimum balance and account standing). Payout requests are processed manually; we aim to action requests within a reasonable timeframe but do not guarantee specific processing dates. We may reject a payout request where there is a suspected fraud or compliance concern, pending dispute investigation, or account policy violation. We will notify you of the reason where permitted by law.
Spill It is not a payment institution, bank, or money services business. Wallet credits represent an obligation to pay out earned tip proceeds and do not constitute a deposit, investment, or financial instrument.
Additional anti-fraud checks apply to payouts. KYC verification is required for payouts above account-tier thresholds, and payouts may be paused or denied where an account is flagged by fraud detection pending manual review.
5A. Anti-Fraud Policy
- Violation of anti-fraud policies constitutes grounds for account suspension or termination.
- We may suspend or restrict accounts flagged by fraud detection systems while manual review is ongoing.
- Where abuse is confirmed, we may permanently terminate account access and limit future platform use.
- To protect users, we may limit permanent account activity per device security hash, including a maximum of 4 permanent account creations and up to 10 distinct permanent-account logins from a single device hash.
6. Privacy and Data Protection
Our data practices are described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. We process personal data in line with applicable Nigerian data protection requirements, including the NDPA.
7. Service Availability and Disclaimers
Spill It is provided on an “as available" and “as is" basis. We work to maintain reliability and security but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or risk-free operation at all times.
8. Liability, Governing Law, and Disputes
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spill It is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute not resolved amicably shall be submitted to the competent courts in Nigeria.
9. Updates and Contact
We may revise these Terms from time to time for legal, operational, or product reasons. Continued use after updates means acceptance of the revised Terms.
